RESOURCES FOR CONSUMERS
You may have heard about the Coronavirus Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payments being offered as part of the CARES Act that President Trump recently signed into law. This law includes a provision for eligible taxpayers who filed a tax return for either 2019 or 2018 to receive a payment of up to $1,200 for individuals or $2,400 for married couples. Parents may also receive up to $500 for each qualifying child.
For more information on these payments or to see if you will qualify, visit the IRS website at https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments. If you do qualify for the payment and have filed a 2019 or 2018 tax return, your payment will be deposited directly into the same baking account used for tax filing purposes.
