Effective May 1, 2018, TLS 1.0 encryption protocol will no longer be supported, which may prevent you from using some or all of your online or mobile banking functionality if your web browser or Android operating system is not up-to-date.
What is TLS?
TLS stands for “Transport Layer Security.” It is a protocol that provides privacy and data integrity between two communicating applications. It’s the most widely deployed security protocol used today, and is used for web browsers and other applications that require data to be securely exchanged over a network.
What does this mean for you?
If your web browser is not up-to-date, you may need to upgrade it to use TLS 1.1 or higher.
Below is a list of browser versions that support TLS 1.1. or higher. If you are using a browser version that is lower than those listed below and do not update before May 1st, you may be impacted after the disablement.

- Mozilla Firefox: version 27 or higher
- Google Chrome version 38 or higher
- Apple Safari
- Desktop Safari: versions 7 or higher for OS X 10.9
- Mobile Safari: versions 5 or higher for iOS 5
Android users operating on Android version KitKat (4.4) or lower may be impacted by the May 1st disablement unless you upgrade to Lollipop (5.0) or higher.
